My 11 year old absolutely enjoyed this book and was excited to listen to me read a couple of chapters each evening。 It was a lovely light hearted read that had my son laughing and excited to see what happened next。 As always, there were some great characters, but my son's favourite will always be Raj who he hopes gets his own book one day。 My son owns all of David Walliams' books and definitely seems to enjoy the earlier ones more, so was excited when this sequel came out My 11 year old absolutely enjoyed this book and was excited to listen to me read a couple of chapters each evening。 It was a lovely light hearted read that had my son laughing and excited to see what happened next。 As always, there were some great characters, but my son's favourite will always be Raj who he hopes gets his own book one day。 My son owns all of David Walliams' books and definitely seems to enjoy the earlier ones more, so was excited when this sequel came out 。。。more

A return to form for Walliams! Hilarious, poignantish, and features the Queen sporting a lobster costume。 What more could you want? Flavio Flavioli with a broken buttock! Hahahaha! I think this was written especially for me。

Olivia Marshall

It was intriguing to find out who the black cat is and funny。

Well, this was a disappointing and unnecessary book。 See, the problem I have with the latest Walliams's book is, that he is putting them out so fast because he knows that children will want them, but unfortunately the stories are recently lacking what those first books had。 Well, this was a disappointing and unnecessary book。 See, the problem I have with the latest Walliams's book is, that he is putting them out so fast because he knows that children will want them, but unfortunately the stories are recently lacking what those first books had。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 It links to the old book very much and a great surprise that the queen was behind it all。 I think it was just a really good book in general as a David Walliams fan。 I also love that Ben has to enter another dance competition and still fails。 But throughout the book you also see how the queen is actually quite a good thief。

Gangsta granny strikes again was a very amusing story。 It started off with a series of incredible thieveries starting off with Tutankhamen’s mask。 Unluckily poor Ben (the main character of this story) is the main suspect of his neighbourhood watch’s leader (Mr Parker) and ens up being stalked 24/7。 He is then forced to partake the most embarrassing dance routine in the whole of world history with his mum in the royal Albert hall。 It goes terrible wrong and Ben ends up escaping into the Tower of Gangsta granny strikes again was a very amusing story。 It started off with a series of incredible thieveries starting off with Tutankhamen’s mask。 Unluckily poor Ben (the main character of this story) is the main suspect of his neighbourhood watch’s leader (Mr Parker) and ens up being stalked 24/7。 He is then forced to partake the most embarrassing dance routine in the whole of world history with his mum in the royal Albert hall。 It goes terrible wrong and Ben ends up escaping into the Tower of London to find that the queen was stealing the Crown Jewels。 。。。more

Once I started this book I could not put it down。 David Walliams books are always so intriguing and I love his send of humour which he portrays through the characters。

What I enjoyed about this book was that I was expecting a very different story when going in there。 I thought how could they make a sequel if the granny was dead。 But to my surprise this worked very well as a sequel and once again opens it up to a third instalment。 Perhaps it was nostalgia, but this was brilliant。 However the first one tops it for me。

I really liked this book for something quick and funny to read, to help me stage out of my reading block which I had dealt with in 2021。 I think it did aid that and it was very light-hearted if you aren't wanting to get into something with too much depth but in the future I think I would stir back to books with more complexity。 I really liked this book for something quick and funny to read, to help me stage out of my reading block which I had dealt with in 2021。 I think it did aid that and it was very light-hearted if you aren't wanting to get into something with too much depth but in the future I think I would stir back to books with more complexity。 。。。more

What a great read! Another classic by David。 Worth a read! The nostalgia overload was great bringing back the characters from the first book。 Must reread it now as it’s been years。 Ps I didn’t read it on kindle

Molly

five stars for the nostalgia

Honestly it was ok。 Not amazing but ok。 I did think that the story didn’t make any sense at some moments but I suppose it wasn’t suppose to be realistic。 Anyways I think this would be a great book for kids from 5-11 maybe 12。

Ok book, i expected it to be better。 Also I don't read these kind of books anymore so it didn't interest me that much。 I guess it is aimed at younger readers so I'm being much too harsh。 Ok book, i expected it to be better。 Also I don't read these kind of books anymore so it didn't interest me that much。 I guess it is aimed at younger readers so I'm being much too harsh。 。。。more
